THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE WORD OF GOD - THEIR INFLUENCE UPON MANKIND
The Holy Spirit and the Word of God are inseparable and identical in their action upon the hearts of men. Please notice that whatever is affirmed of the Holy Spirit is also true of the Word of God. This helps us to see that the Holy Spirit is the instrument through which He works to influence mankind. Saying that the Holy Spirit works through the Word as opposed to directly upon the hearts of men does no insult to the Holy Spirit, for He inspired and revealed the Word unto man.
